1. Introductory level: Core Training

(Double weekend, 4-5 days residential, series of evenings, or series of evenings plus a weekend)

2. Intermediate level: Selected Topics

(2-5 day courses)

3a. Advanced level: Practice in Playback Theatre

(10 days residential)

3b. Advanced Level: Leadership with Jonathan Fox

(3 week residential)

Each level assumes mastery of core competencies in key aspects of the study of playback theatre, including: performance, conducting, music, ritual, social awareness, and theory. Those who have had more than 6 months active experience in a playback theatre company are welcome to attend Selected Topic courses as part of their ongoing development in playback theatre.

Admission to advanced courses will take into account prior playback experience. Following Practice in Playback Theatre, students can enroll onto Leadership with Jonathan Fox which culminates in graduation from the School of Playback Theatre (NY, USA). The last Leadership programme took place in the USA in 2010. We plan to host a Leadership training with Jonathan Fox, here in the UK, in 2012.
