Core training in playback Theatre
We offer this foundation training in various formats. A double weekend intensive, a 4 or 5-day residential and non-residential options, a weekly series of evenings or by special arrangement for your group.

For playbackers who have either done our Core Training already... or are already practising in a group, we welcome you to join the Certificate Training as your next step in deepening into the Playback Theatre work. Lets discuss this.
Depending on your current experience you may be able to go straight onto level 3 - the Advanced Practice course. Or top up with some of the Special Topics in preparation for the level 3 intensive.

Level 3 - Advanced Practice

A 7 days / 7 nights residential course at The Claret Centre, Buckden Towers, Buckden, Cambridgeshire PE19 5TA
Deepening the Practice
Sunday 2 August 6pm to Sunday 9 August 1pm
This is the final course for our Advanced Practitioner Certificate Course students and a time to immerse and practice, gathering the fruits of the training so far.
The Advanced Practitioners Certificate Course
begins with the foundation Level 1 Core Training, followed by Level 2 Special Topic Courses, completed by the Level 3 Advanced Practice 7-day Residential.
Certificate course students will be required to attend at least 90% of course time and complete an essay.
Those who have completed Core Training previously with us or elsewhere, as well as those who have at least six months experience with an active Playback Theatre company can join the certificate programme at the level of the Special Topics.

Next steps on completion of the certificate course might include developing your own playback theatre group and performances, taking further advanced level training, eventually completing the Centre for Playback Theatre-hosted Leadership in Playback Theatre training, and onwards...
